Hey friends! Britney here with a card featuring Honey Bee Stamps Bee Hive for those who are the Bee’s Knees! I am just loving all of the bee sets this summer.
If you’re new to my blog posts, I like to start with building up my backgrounds first. I inked up my back panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide and the MFT Mini Cloud stencil. For the front panel, I used the largest of the 3 Piece Hexagon Layering Background Stencils and Wild Honey Distress Oxide. I sprayed both backgrounds with Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray. After everything was dry, I used an oval die to cut the oval out my front panel.
I stamped my images with Gina K Amalgam Jet Black Ink and colored my images with my Copics. I used all of the images from the Bee Hive set and the branch from the Birds and the Bees set. I finished off my images by adding some highlights with a white gel pen. I used a black glaze pen on the eyes and a shimmer pen for the wings.
I used the coordinating dies to cut out my images. I popped the front panel and the bee hive up using foam tape. Lastly, I used a black pen to draw a “connector” from the branch to the bee hive.
I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a wonderful day and join me again for another blog post.
