Thinking of you with Lawn Fawn

Happy Wednesday crafty friends! Kim with you today, I haven't posted here for a while! I also haven't played with Lawn Fawn for a bit too, so I thought this would be a fun project for today. Don't know about you, but there are a lot of people I am missing lately so I felt this was appropriate timing!

I wanted a fun summer evening sky so I ink blended some Distress Inks on my background panel (Mustard Send, Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and a touch of Black Soot on the top).

I then coloured my fox from the On the Beach Stamps with Copic Markers and used the accompanying dies.

With the background complete and my image ready to go I then die cut my Palm Tree Border Dies from Black Licorice cardstock and the Hammock and Trees Dies from Kraft and Paper Bag cardstocks.

I did a bit of shading on the larger green palm trees with some Forest Moss Distress Ink and put all of my elements together. I added the Thinking of You from the Wavy Saying Stamp Set embossed on a Simple Wavy Banner die cut from Black Licorice and added some candy hearts.

Baby Tags featuring the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each! I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool for the first time and loved it! I cut my own Tim Holtz watercolor paper to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer. I stamped my sentiments that are by Lawn Fawn Hello Baby with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks . Painting backwards....

Hello, hello! Norine here from The Velvet Lemon blog . It's been a week for introductions hasn't it, but let me just say how delighted I am to have been invited to join such a talented group of paper crafters, and to contribute here at Butterfly Reflections Ink! Today I'm sharing with you, some cards I made by working backwards. What do I mean, you wonder? Well, it's a technique I sometimes enjoy doing, where you "smoosh" your water based ink pads on a craft mat, mist the colors with water and then drag your water color paper through it to create a pretty mess of color. For today's cards, I wanted a blend of blues and greens (always a crowd pleaser) and yellows/pinks. You will always be happier with the results when you keep the green/blues from overlapping with the yellow/pinks, because that just produces an unappealing mud color. Penny Black All Lit Up + MFT Delightful Deer

Hi everyone, Amanda here today with a project I created using my favorite theme, nature and deer combined! Add in a little distress inking and WOW! So I started with an A2 sized panel. I cut a hill using Newton's Nook Designs Land Borders to create a mask for the bottom. I distress inked from center of my panel, working outward using a combination of yellows, greens and blues. I inked all the way down to the hill, then removed it to leave the white of the card appearing to be a snow hill. Now I take this GORGEOUS stamp, All Lit Up by Penny Black and stamp it using VersaFine Black Onyx ink. Using my MISTI, I was able to stamp it twice to get a nice dark impression. I then cut white acrylic paint 50/50 and tapped it on my night sky using a small paint brush. You'll notice on the image, there are little circles where you'd color in your lights or ornaments.
