Well hello there!
It's World Card Making Day!
And today, we have a FUN SKETCH we hope you play along with!
I just LOOOOOOVE it!!!!
Samantha here, and today I'm sharing an encouragement/get well type of card! My grandpa is currently battling colon cancer, and I'm determined to send him at least one card a week!
Anyway, let's get on to the goodness - the card!
I love it!
My grandpa is an avid orchid-expert and grower, they're a special flower to our family! So, it was a no brainer to make a card with this gooooooorgeous image from Avery Elle! And guess what?! It's on sale - along with the coordinating dies!!! quick - grab them! lol!
Ok, so I started by coloring my images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers! If you know me at all, you know that while I am in LOVE with coloring floral images...I'm more of a cute-sy critter color-er! lol! But I did m best to make this one slightly more realistic...slightly. lol!
I popped up the images with foam tape and then heat embossed the sentiment onto some Black Licorice Cardstock! Then, I fussy cut out around the words!
For the background, I just used some grey acrylic paint and a dry brush! Just a few swipes did the trick! The real star of the show is the orchid though! I finished the off the image with some white gel details on the petals!
Thanks for stopping by!
Be sure to grab this set, I mean, it's gorgeous and on sale...what could be better?!
~Samantha
