Hi there friends! Gladys here and I'm so happy to be back on the BRI blog today. I have a fun friendship card to share with you. I was inspired by all the April rain showers we've had the past few days.
To begin I cut Lawn Fawn rainy backdrop from a dark teal cardstock. I inked the edges to add depth using blueprint sketch distress oxide ink. I splattered Gansai Tambi watercolor in silver for more raindrops effect. Next I cut the grass from green cardstock and blended the edges with pine needle.
I stamped the images from Weather with You stamp set using hybrid brown ink. I colored them using alcohol markers then cut using their coordinating dies. Of course I had to incorporate rainbow colors. Also since it's Spring I decided to add a few florals onto my scene. I placed Nuvo crystal drops to the center of them for interest.
The sentiment is from the set and it is white heat embossed on vellum using super fine white embossing powder. To complete my card I scattered a few Studio Katia sparkling crystals on the panel.
I really appreciate you stopping by. I hope you have some time to create this weekend. Sending big hugs till next time!!
