Bearing Gifts - Pop Up Box Card

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Nicky back with you today with a very fun pop up box card using the brand new Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up by Lawn Fawn.  If you never fancied the challenge of a box card before ..... well, it just got quite a bit easier!

No more measuring, the Lawn Cuts craft die will do all the thinking for you and all you have to do is have lots of creative fun making the card.  I used Lawn Fawn's Lawn Cuts Grassy Border, die-cutting it several times over so that I could stack the grassy edges inside the card.  For today's box card I decided to use the relatively new Bearing Gifts stamp set by Reverse Confetti.   The bear in his car and the trees and background mountains were all stamped with Archival Ink and watercolour painted using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  They were then die cut and applied to the card, slowly but surely building the scene.

The panels that are layered on top of the flaps were made using papers from the lovely Watercolor Wash 6x6 Paper Pa…

Spring Flowers with Lawn Fawn!

Happy Monday! Kim with you this morning to share a spring flowers kind of project! March begins in a few days, daylight will become more present which is the beginning of the end of winter! Yay!
My project today features some new Lawn Fawn which can all be found in the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop!

I started by die cutting my Dotted Square die by Lawn Fawn out of Neena Solar White and then die cut the centre with the MFT Peek-A-Boo Circle Windows (love that die set).  I then stamped a bunch the flowers and the butterfly from the new Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers Set in multiple die inks.  I used the matching dies and die cut all the images including one of the "Happies" from the Happpy, Happy, Happy Lawn Cuts set out of dark pink paper from the Watercolor Wishes 6 x 6 paper pack (these two new paper packs rock my little world...I will definitely need more).  I then stamped my birthday sentiment from the Happy, Happy, Happy stamp set in Versafine Onyx black on lavender card stock.…

Cottontail Cuties

Happy Saturday!
Today I'm featuring the super popular Cottontail Cuties from Neat & Tangled! I also used a few Avery Elle dies that I LOVE for creating scenes.

I started my card by stamping and die cutting the girl and bunny image from Cottontail Cuties and coloring them with Copics. Next I blended the background using Distress Oxides. I used Peeled Paint, Cracked Pistachio and Faded Jeans. These new inks are so creamy and blend beautifully.

I added the Picket Fence die cut from Avery Elle and cut out the window using Scalloped Pierced Rectangles.

I put all the pieces together and then stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for joining me today!

Sweet Forest Friends Flop Card

Hey friends, Christy here with an extra fun interactive card -- a flop card! This was my first attempt at one, but I will definitely be making more of these babies in the future! I just can't stop playing with it!

These Sweet Forest Friends by MFT were clamoring to be inked up, so I chose them to be the today's stars. I colored up practically every image included in the set with Copic markers, then set them aside. For my card base, I first adhered some patterned paper from the Shimelle Little By Little 6x6, then to create my "flop" panel I used the MFT Flop Card Rectangle Die-namics. To finish off the scene I added a couple of MFT Cloud 9 dies, as well as some Lawn Fawn Grassy Borders to both the front and inside panels. The trick of this card is to make sure to assemble your scene so that there's a surprise when you open it up. So I placed my tree and critters to the far left on the inside. Then I let a cloud, butterfly and flower be visible on the right, so ev…

Reverse Confetti ....Hello Hogs&Kisses

Hello !! Mayra here from Mayras Designs with today's fun post .
I created this set of cards using the super CUTE Reverse Confetti Cured Stamp set.  I stamped these images onto my card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. These cards came together quite easily .  I added the hello sentiment using the Hello Confetti Cuts die .  I stamped the sentiment from the sentiment onto one of the banners from the Scalloped Die Set by Neat & Tangled using VersaMark ink and White Embossing Powder
I LOVED using these cute piggies for my cards !! I hope you feel inspired to create !  Thank you so much for stopping by ! Wishing you a wonderful and Blessed day !
Hello, crafty friends! Its Rebekah here today, bringing you this sweet card using stamps and dies from Neat and Tangled!

I started off by adding the Nuvo Glimmer Paste to a sheet of soft yellow cardstock, allowing it to dry about an hour and then cut out the heart shape from the Floral Heart Die by Neat and Tangled. The Glimmer Paste is so cool! Its easy to apply and looks amazing! It comes in a bunch of colors, too!

I then die cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card panel with the Blueprints 25 die set from My Favorite Things. This gives a nice, pretty stitched edge to the card which I just love! I placed the Floral Heart Die in the center of the panel and ran it again threw my die cutter again.

I colored the images in the Cottontail Cuties stamp set and cut them out using the Cottontail Cuties Dies.

I added  foam tape to the back of the card panel with the heart cut in the center and placed in on a card base. I then placed the glittered heart in the center.

I arranged the colored images around th…

Thank You Card Using - Bunny Tea Time - Memory Box Co.

Hello everybody, Nicky back with you today with another sweet card this time using the adorable Bunny Tea Time by Memory Box.

The base of this card is made from Kraft card stock which I am increasingly using because I love both pastel and more vibrantly coloured decorated panels against this contrasting background - just a personal choice of course!

The white panel was ink blended softly using the fabulous Clarity Stencil Brushes to create a focal point using Distress Ink and then the 'thank you' sentiment was stamped repeatedly around the edge in a circle using Ranger Archival Ink.  Any black ink would have sufficed in this application but the Ranger Archival Ink provides such a strong and true black image every time you stamp provided you don't rush it!

Next i stamped up all of my images using the same Archival Ink.  I watercolour 'painted' them using the wonderful Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a Watercolor Brush Pen - you'll need a 'detailer'…

Avery Elle Double Birthday!

Happy Monday! Kim with you this morning sharing two projects featuring products from Butterfly Reflections Ink for my twin nieces who have a birthday this week!

These two projects feature images from the new Avery Elle Carousel stamps and dies! I chose the horse and the bear and coloured them with Copics. I then used my Nuovo Glitter paste inTanzanite Lavender and Peridot Green and made my own stencils out of dies. I then embossed my sentiments also from the Carousel set by Avery Elle.  I put my cards together and added the small action wobblers to both carousel images (I love me some action wobblers). I decided to make gift bags/boxes for their gifts, I love the Lawn Fawn dies for projects like these! So I used the Scalloped Treat Box die. I then paired the boxes with some of the newer Neat & Tangled Love Note dies in matching colours.
I hope the girls will enjoy these for their birthday! have a great week! Kim

Oh the Places You'll Flamin-go!

Hey there!
Samantha here with you today, and I'm excited to share a fun card with lots of products from the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop!

I used lots of fun Distress Inks to create this card, and it was so fun! :)

I squished the ink pads onto my rectangle acrylic block and then spritzed with water, then pressed the block onto my card front!
I used the adorable Flamingo Together stamp set from Lawn Fawn and colored it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. So fun! :)

A little heat embossing in white for the sentiment, and the card was good to go!
Be sure to get your shop on this weekend! The exclusive #Hashtag sets are on sale, use the code HASHTAG10 to get 10% off!! Yay!!!!
Thanks again for stopping by!

City Celebrations Birthday

Hi Everyone! Happy weekend! I love figuring out how to combine different stamp sets and dies. I think it gives you more bang for the buck and it's a fun to see what happens when different products combine.
Today I mixed City Celebrations with Time to Party.

I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring the cake from Time to Party. The age customization on this stamp set really brings it up a notch. I had a terrible ink accident and messed up one of the banners. Instead of tossing the whole cake, I cut off the banners on both sides, stamped and die cut another image and only colored the banner. I popped it behind the original cake with dimensional adhesive and I love the results. Problem solved. ;)

Next I die cut the City Celebrations and colored it to match. I stamped the sentiment from the coordinating City Celebrations stamp set.
Let's talk about the City Celebrations die for a minute. All the shapes are 99% cut out, except for the star. The star pops right out but all th…

A Novel Birthday

Hey crafty friends, it's Christy, back with my Friday Feature at BRI. This week I needed a special birthday card for a very special lady in my writer's group, and I knew that the MFT Our Story stamp set was going to work perfectly to create the look I was after.

I did a combination of Copic coloring and paper piecing using the absolutely gorgeous Flora 6x6 by Carta Bella. Now, I'll admit, it did take me a while to fussy cut those beautiful patterns for the chair and some of my book covers and layer them over the matching die cuts, but since the Birthday Girl, Alice, was turning 85 years young, it was totally worth the extra effort. I even added her little dog, Gypsy, into the scene.

To create a soft background and ground my images I did some simple masking and sponging of Distress Inks. Then I framed up my focal panel by giving it a nice stitched edge with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables and used lots of foam tape to layer my images and give my scene som…

Hippity Hoppity with Reverse Confetti .....

Hello !!
Mayra here with the fun post for today !
I am so excited to share this card I created !
I actually used something besides Copics to color these images in !!!
Shocking right ?! Lol, I actually used Distress Markers and inks .
I began by die cutting the base using My Favorite Things Die-Namics Stitched Rectangle Stax .
Yes ...as you can tell one of my absolute go to's for my cards is this set !!
I used one of the super cute patterned papers from the
Crate Paper Little Boy 6x6 paper pad.
I then die cut my bunny images and flower images from the
Hippity Hoppity stamp set by Reverse Confetti .
The matching dies can be found here . I used Ranger Archival Jet Black ink to stamp out the images (trust me this worked the best with water coloring ..lol you don't want to know how many I messed up using other inks ) .
I colored the images in and set them aside while I finished the rest of the card .
I die cut the hills from the Lawn Fawn
Stitched Hillside Borders Lawn Cuts set .

Alligator Birthday Card

Hi there, friends! It's Rebekah here to day to share with you this cute little card using the Reverse Confetti Later Alligator stamp set!

I automatically think this set would lean more towards a boy's card but I wanted to stretch it a bit and use the small bow and birthday cake stamps to make it a card more suitable for a girl!

This seems to be a 'go-to' card design for me lately when I have stamp set I want to use but am not sure what to do for a design. Its also perfect for doing major coloring therapy!

All I did was stamp the alligator randomly on a white card panel and color each one with Copic markers. I wanted the alligators to really pop so I added a touch of a cool gray outline around each one. I filled in between with the bow stamp and colored them pink.

I then cut the circles from the Lacy Scllope Circle Dies  and the Pop Up Circle Dies from Reverse Confetti. In the smaller circle I stamped the birthday cake stamp on top of each other masking the candle on th…

Birthday Bunnies!

Happy Valentine's Day everybody, Nicky back with you today with a dose of adorable bunnies.  My card today features the Open Studio/Memory Box stamp set Birthday Bunnies.  I couldn't resist getting these as soon as I saw them.  They have coordinating dies and there are other bunny sets in the series, so if these appeal to you then you might want to check out the other sets too!

These bunnies remind me of my favourite illustrations from children's books!  The background stencil is by Echo Park and is called Mini Leaves Stencil.  I just love this stencil and have loads of plans for it but here I blended 3 different colours of distress inks.  I can imagine this stencil used with an ombre of greens or with warm autumnal hues among other ideas.  You could use sponge daubers to ink through your stencil but I am a huge fan of the beautiful Clarity Stencil Brushes.  They've been very popular and are currently sold out at Butterfly Reflections Ink but more are on order so do si…

Happy flowers in winter!

Happy Monday! Kim here with you this morning and I am sharing a bright happy floral card! I am not of fan of winter, and like many of you the snow has decided to invade in February this year!

I started with a Strathmore Bristol card base cut to 5.5 x 12 which are the measurements indicated by the directions for the fantastic Concord and 9th Hugs die.  I lined up my die as directed in the video on the Concord and 9th blog and then folded my card accordingly.  I then took the Winnie and Walter In Bloom: Addie's Garden stamps (I simply love all of their In Bloom collection) and stamped my images with Versamark Ink.  I only needed one mask of the larger flower to be able to stamp the other florals and leaves. I did have to be carful of warping because I had to heat emboss each image as I went.
I then took my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (two of each shade) and my water brush to color my images.  I then die cut the hugs die (only the word) out of black card stock and cut them to…

Hello BRI friends!  I hope you all are having a fabulous February so far!  I am still trying to find time for crafting with a baby in the house.  Baby Ruby is already 3 1/2 months old!  I can't believe it...time is just flying by!

These cards turned out so cute!

Glamper Camper

Happy Saturday! The new Avery Elle stamps and dies were released a few days ago! Did you see them? They are all HERE if you want to take a peek. ;)

One of my favorites from the release is Glamper Campers. I'm a tent camper but I can dream of sleeping in a retro, color filled, warm, happy tiny home on wheels, can't I?
On today's card I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring the camper and cactus from the set.

I created the window frame with Double Pierced Rectangles dies. Next, I blended a little Twisted Citron Distress Ink on to the background and layered in a black piece of card stock.
The card was finished with the sentiment.

What is your favorite stamp set from the release?
Thanks for stopping by today!

Magical Princess Birthday

Hey friends! Christy here. As a mom of three boys, I don't often give in to the impulse to buy ultra-girly images, but this Once Upon A Time set by My Favorite Things was simply too cute to resist! Sweet princesses, adorable unicorns,... this set is just so playful, I swear it'll make you feel young again just inking it up!

I colored my images with Copics and die cut them with the matching dies, then set my scene using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Stackables as my focal panel, the Lawn Fawn Simple Stitched Hillside Borders to create my grass, and added one of the clouds from MFT's Cloud 9 to my sky.

The gorgeous Posh 6x6 paper pad by Simple Stories served as inspiration for my color palette, and I just had to use as many of the beautiful patterns as possible on my card. I die cut the pink confetti print with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders and used the Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables to frame my focal panel. My sentiment was stamped with Lawn Fawn N…

For today I created three cards using the super cute  Neat & Tangled Floral Heart and Lumberjack Love stamp sets .   I began by die cutting the base using My Favorite Things Die-Namics Stitched Rectangle Stax .  For the background I used Distress Inks in Hickory Smoke and Worn Lipstick  . I blended them onto the cardstock using the Mini Ink Blending Tool . These sets also have matching dies : Lumberjack Love Dieand the Floral Heart Die  The scalloped base is also a die set from Neat & Tangled Scalloped Die set
