Breathe Rainbows Collaboration Blog Hop

Hi, friends!!! Thanks for joining us today for this blog hop featuring the new Breathe Rainbows stamp set collaboration with Kimma Parish from Le Petite Market, where you can find LOADS of adorable digital images in her Etsy shop.

Let's start with this, the image that started it all. HA! My friend Laurie had posted this card on Instagram way back in late November/early December and it was love at first sight. I ran over to check out the artist and her other images and contacted her immediately about doing a collab. Funny thing is that I didn't hear back from her right away so I went digging through my e-mails a month or two later and found my message to her sitting in draft mode. Doh!!!

After finally getting in touch and the seasons changing (LOL!), I decided to go with something more spring related. The sloth image made me laugh out loud and I thought he'd be adorable holding the rainbow in his hands and then you can't have a rainbow without the sun and a unicorn, can you? hehe

I already made a card using this set for the Coffee Lover's blog hop last weekend and my Design Team girls couldn't wait to start playing with it either. Lynnea used the adorable girlie right away and messaged me this photo. I mean how cute is she?! The teeny, tiny, cutest frog ever was a last minute addition and I'm so glad he made it.

Now HOP along (see what I did there? haha) to see what the girls have created and be sure to stop by the shop to pick up this adorable stamp set for yourself.

You can find more of Kimma's work in a couple of Pink & Main stamp sets, one of which is called Perfect Blend (matching dies are available).

Thank you so much for visiting today. You can find lots of fun new goodies in the shop! As always, thank you for your support and don't forget, if you're in the southern NH area to come visit in person!!! You can find the address along with store hours in the STOREFRONT tab on my website. I'd love to meet you!

Baby Tags featuring the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each!

I used my We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool for the first time and loved it! I cut my own Tim Holtz watercolor paper to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer.  I stamped my sentiments that are by Lawn Fawn Hello Baby with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks.  I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things Snuggle Bunnies for the girl and Magical Dragons for the boy.  I colored m…

Painting backwards....

Hello, hello!  Norine here from The Velvet Lemon blog.  It's been a week for introductions hasn't it, but let me just say how delighted I am to have been invited to join such a talented group of paper crafters, and to contribute here at Butterfly Reflections Ink!
Today I'm sharing with you, some cards I made by working backwards.
What do I mean, you wonder?  Well, it's a technique I sometimes enjoy doing, where you "smoosh" your water based ink pads on a craft mat, mist the colors with water and then drag your water color paper through it to create a pretty mess of color.
For today's cards, I wanted a blend of blues and greens (always a crowd pleaser) and yellows/pinks.  You will always be happier with the results when you keep the green/blues from overlapping with the yellow/pinks, because that just produces an unappealing mud color.

I used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Inks for this project, but any water based inks will work the same.  It&#…

Open DT Call for Spring/early Summer Term!

Happy Spring, everyone! The weather here is... confused. LOL Thursday we had 50 degrees, Saturday we had 10 inches of snow and today it was 50 again. We just celebrated my son's 21st birthday on Thursday as many of you know from taking advantage of the celebration sale! Thanks for that. I spent all day packing and shipping orders during the day and then went out for dinner (and his first legal beer) when he got out of work that night. I honestly can't believe he's TWENTY-ONE, such a milestone and it's weird having a man child. HA! Yesterday, we spent the snow day in pjs and doing nothing which was a welcomed change. Today, my husband took our younger son skiing and my daughter and I had a girls' day which was nice. We went out to breakfast, did a little shopping and saw Beauty & the Beast. That's the lowdown over my way. I hope you've all been enjoying the weather, your families, crafting, work or whatever makes you HAPPY! :)
With the change of seasons a…
