For the trees and rolling snowy hill in the background I used the Lawn Fawn Over the Mountains Stamps and coordinating dies - I love how versatile this set is!!

Hello Bootiful with Davina

Hello my Bootiful Friends! Davina here, with some October Moodboard Inspiration. I made a really fun Shaker-Slimline card using a mixture of new and old products that I hope you’ll love just as much as I do. The colors this month were very bold fall colors of a deep berry, yellow, orange, and olive green. I used a very dark palette of mostly black and accented the colors to create my project.  I used some just released slimline stamps from Trinity stamps to create this incredible branch frame. This set All Spruced Up was just dropped yesterday, and intended for beautiful Christmas cards. But I wanted to make a spooky card, so I stamped it in black on gray cardstock. Then, after using the matching die to easily cut it out, I inked the edges of the slimline panel with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped a few of the pine cones and branches in black and gray to accent the top. And I love how stamping in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink showed up so well on the gray card.
Next, I u…

2 Cards, 1 Design

Happy Friday, Everyone! Allison here, and I'm happy to be back on the blog today sharing a pair of slimline holiday cards. I used a bunch of new MFT products, all of which can be found in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink. online shop. I have been wanting to use this "Merry and Bright" stamp as a background, and it turns out that it works perfectly for a slimline card. So, I began my cards as I do with so many of my other slimline cards, and that is with the Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics die set. I cut a panel out of both pink and green paper. I figured while I was stamping one panel, why not make two? After playing around with the spacing a little bit, I stamped the pink paper with pink ink and the green paper with green ink. The pink ink ended up being more of a tone on tone look. The green ink was a bit more bold. Honestly, I was going for something in between, but you can't win 'em all! While I had my die set out, I went ahead and cut a white scalloped border f…

Holiday Shaker Tags

Hello and good day!  It's Amanda Fitterer here and  I am excited to share these super sweet holiday tags with you! To make my tag base, I used Heffy Doodle's Tag Along Dies.  I love these dies because they're so versatile and they were made for shakers!
For my images, I am using Hero Arts Intensified Black ink to stamp Mama Elephant's Santa Baby Stamp Set and Toasty Friends Stamp Set.

I colored my images with Copic markers.

I created my shaker elements by mixing Dress My Craft's Carnival Candies, Crystal Ice Cubes, Frosted Sugar Powder, and Coffee Carnival Mix.

These tags will sure be cute on some gifts for family, friends, or coworkers!
Thank you so much for stopping by the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog!  We are so happy you're here and  hope that you feel super inspired!  Xoxo, Amanda

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone! Tina here with a fun Halloween card featuring the adorable kitty from the Pretty Pink Posh Halloween Pals stamps and coordinating dies.
This is definitely one of my favorite Halloween stamps yet! I stamped, embossed and colored up the images using Copic markers. For the background I ink blended using the Milled Lavender, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Dusty Concord and Black Soot Distress Inks. I used a circle die to cut a window on the top panel and popped up the kitty using double sided foam adhesive.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment and the little paw prints and splattered some stars over the blended background. Finally I added some sequins and the bats using glittered cardstock and the die from the Lawn Fawn Build-a House Halloween Add on Dies.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you like my card :) Have a great day!!

Halloween card inspired by October mood board

Hi friends!  I’m back with another mood board inspired card!  This cute scene shows an adorable fox who dropped his broom and bag of candy because he was spooked by a ghost!  My card features a shaker window behind the word “boo” and a couple of jewels to look like candy.  The colors were inspired by the mood board below.

To start, I first masked off the moon and then ink blended a sky using the following distress oxide inks (top to bottom): seedless preserves, ripe persimmon and mustard seed.  Next, I splatted the background with some water.  Then I used the grassy stencil and distress oxide ink colors in pine needles and peeled paint to blend the grass. The panel was cut using the outside in largest stitched rectangle die.  The word “boo” was cut using Finley’s ABC die.  I saved the inside pieces of the letters so I could glue them into the missing areas later.  Acetate sheet was glued to the back of the panel and double sided foam tape added to the edges to create a shaker.  Pretty …

Wishing You Joy

Hi Friends! It is Dana here today and I am excited to be back to share a card with you all. My stash of birthday cards is getting low, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to pull out a few of my favorite things from PinkFresh Studio and create a card. Let's get started, shall we? I started my card by using the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp and Die Set. I used PinkFresh Ink for all of my stamping. The colors I used were Coral Reef, Passion Fruit and Mint. I just recently purchased full sized stamp pads of PinkFresh Ink and I have to say I am in love...I highly recommend their ink and you can find a full range of  colors in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink online store. Next, I ran the PinkFresh Studio Colorblock: Gradiating Stripes Die through my die cutting machine. I attached it to my card panel and added my floral image. I then added a few splatters with a little reinker. For my sentiment, I used the Modern Layered Floral Stamp Set. Lastly, I added a few Sparkling …

Scalloped Slimline Joy

Happy Friday, Everyone! Allison here, and I have a fun slimline card to share with you today. I just cannot stop creating slimline cards, especially because it allows me to use some old favorites in new ways. These Bitty Bears from MFT were one of the first stamp sets I ever bought, and I still love them. Combining them with new products is just one way to keep them fresh. All of the products used for this card today can be found in the Butterfly Reflections, Ink online shop. I came up with the idea for this card when I realized that one of my favorite patterned papers from Waffle Flower was large enough to use with the slimline scallop die from Mama Elephant's Slim Card Basics set. I wanted the entire card to be scallop shaped, so I cut the front out of the rainbow paper and the back out of white heavyweight card stock. It's easy to create a shaped card out of two separate pieces - all you have to do is score a line at the top of the back piece in order to create a "hing…

Toasty Friends Sitting Around the Fire

Oh my goodness, do you love this scene or what!?  The Mama Elephant Toasty Friends stamp set is SO sweet!

To create this card, I'm going to start with my background.  I am using Candied Apple Distress Oxide and Honey Bee Stamps Salvaged Brick Stencil.  I am masking off the bottom of the card to separate the "wall" from the "floor" using Heffy Doodle Memo Tape.
For the "floor", I am using the Ink Blot Shop Get Grounded stamp set.  I am stampign with Rich Cocoa Memento ink and then blending with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide.

I'm stamping images from both Mama Elephant Santa Baby and Toasty Friends stamps sets.

Now, I'm going to color my images with Copic markers!

I'm ready to assemble the card!  I am using 3D foam squares and liquid glue to adhere my images to my card front.  Then, I will mount it on a A2 card base!
