Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome back to the Butterfly Reflections Ink Blog and my FIRST post! I'm so excited to be here and can't wait to share a whole lot of inspiration with you! I love all things floral and recently started coloring critters! So it was fitting to share a critter card!
I'm all for stretching stamp sets, so just cause the holidays are over doesn't mean we can't keep making winter cards! I never got to these stamps last year, so I had to get them inky!
To create the 'scene' I die cut the scallop and stitched rectangle (with the windows) from the Slim Card Basics Creative Cuts. I ink blended the edge of the scalloped rectangle with some distress oxide ink in Tumbled Glass, then I used the same ink to stamp the snowflakes from the Baby, It's Cold Outside Stamp Set to peak through the windows of the stitched rectangle.
Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from Baby, It's Cold Outside Stamp Set using embossing ink and heating embossing with white embossing powder on a scrap piece of black cardstock. I fussy cut around it before adhering it to the card.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope that you are inspired! If you have a question please leave a comment below or send me a message on Instagram.
Till the next time, stay crafty and take care,
Farhana
YAY! fabulous card!
