Have a magical day card with Annemarijn

Hi crafty friends, Today I'm back on the blog with a new card with cute fairies. I'm really into a magical theme at the moment so I chose to make something with fairies and a rainbow. I'm going to tell you how I made this card. First I stamped the fairies from the fairy dance stamp set from hello bluebird and cut them. Next I colored them with copic markers  and made some accents using a white pen . For the wings of the fairies I used some prisma glitter with quickie glue pen .  Next I die cut all pieces from the stitched rainbow dies  from lawn fawn cardstock . The puffy cloud backdrop  I die cut from the watercolor wishes paper pad. The big clouds from the stitched rainbow die I die cut four times and the smaller cloud from the foursquare backdrop I die cut two times from white cardstock.  Next I adhered everything together with foam squares for some extra dimension and I put some purple and pink sequins on the card. Last I stamped the sentiment on the cloud and tha

Surprise party with Peter

Hello everyone! It's Peter here again, ready to deliver some crafty inspiration! I made a frame card again, but this time I changed it up a little. I didn't really made mini scenes, but just used the frame as a fun element on the card. I picked out an old time favorite: Party Animal . It's one of the sets that made me fall in love with Lawn Fawn long time ago. I also added Holiday Party Animal in the mix, so I had a different critter for every window of the frame. Before I started coloring, I picked a patterned paper from my stash to decide on my color scheme. Then I stamped everything out and colored the images in with my Copic markers . I picked a matching colored cardstock for the frame and two for the sentiment; one for the Scripty Happy and one for the 'birthday' piece. You can cut the background paper to size with your paper trimmer, but I'm lazy so I used my Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables . If you would like to match it exactly in size, you c

Travelers

Hello crafty friends! It's Veronica here and today I'm on the blog with a super funny shaker card. I first stamped my images from the Travel Plans Stamp Set by My Favorite Things on a piece of Transotype paper, I colored them all with my Copic Ciao Markers and finally fuzzy cut them.   For the background I stamped the City Block Background Stamp , again by My Favorite Things, with my Versamark Ink and embossed it with white powder. Then, I ink blended my panel with Distress Oxide inks in Dried Marigold , Speckled Egg and Blueprint Sketch .     Finally, I die cut a window from a new white card stock panel where I stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set and I added a bunch of sequins and glass sand. I assembled everything with a piece of acetate and some foam. Hope you like my card and see you next week! From Italy with love, Veronica

Doggy Boba Tea with Leontine

Hello again! Today I wanted to share an all die cut card with you. And I didn't attach it to a card base, but made sure the back was a mirror image of the front. That way it really looks like the dog is peeking through the circle with his boba tea. I used book buddy bear and dog on some paper bag cardstock . I used black licorice cardstock for the eyes and snout. To create the background I used some white cardstock and the cloud nine die. I used a circle from stacked circles to cut a hole in the top of the card panel. Once I had two identical panels I inked them up with some salvaged patina and shaded lilac . I used liquid stardust mixed with water to create some fun shimmery splatters on the ink. I left those two panels to dry, and once they were I glued them together. Now the boba shaker combo was a little trickier to make. I used pearlescent vellum for the front and back of the cup, acetate for the window and lid, white cardstock for the whipped cream, ballet slippe

I miss your hugs

Hello crafty friends!!!! Silvia's here and I'm so happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog today! For my card I started cutting a white rectangle panel (4,25" x 5,5") , I ink blended it with Lawn Fawn's "Cloudy" stencil and salvaged patina Distress Oxide ink and I added some texture splattering with clean water, tone on tone ink and a bit of Indian gold Nuvo mousse (both loosened with water). I then die cut two grassy and one cloudy borders with Hello Bluebird "Grassy Knoll" dies (that I ink blended them with mowed lawn , twisted citron and rustic wilderness Distress Oxide inks) and a tree with Lawn Fawn's "Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop" die (that I ink blended with pumice stone and black soot Distress Oxide inks). I stamped images from the "Happy Hugs" stamp set, I colored them with alcohol markers and I fussy cut them.  For the sentiment, I die cut the "hugs" scripty from the "Long

June BRI Moodboard with Davina

Hello crafty friends. Davina here, on the blog. It’s been over 5 weeks since I’ve be able to make a card or really be creative. I’m going through a lot and I can’t seem to move out of this creative block. But... today I was scheduled on the blog and really wanted to share something. My card took me twice as long as usually do to the countless hours sitting at the desk and nothing happening. But, I persevered, and feel proud to have made something that I think is cute.  I used the super adorable  Outback Critters  from Sunny Studios and bright summer colors from the June BRI Moodboard. I wanted an Australian river scene with a variety of cute critters, and since I didn’t want to overwhelm myself, I kept it to a standard size.  I started by stamping out some critters and branches from the  Outback Critter  set and the cattail scene from the  Country Scenes  set. I also stamped one leafy tree from an older set, Seasonal Trees,   that I thought looked like the eucalyptus branches. I colore

Can't wait to hug you card with Annemarijn

Hi crafty friends! It's Annemarijn here and I'm back with a cute lawn fawn card. Due COVID we can't hug right now so I decided to make a 'can't wait to hug you' card with the hugging critters stamp set. I'm going to tell you how I made it. First I stamped the hugging critters from the happy hugs stamp set and cut them with the matching die cuts . Next I colored the stamps with copic markers . Used markers: W1, W3, W5, YR21, YR24, YR27, E41, E42, E44, E000 and E93. Next I die cut the scalloped slimline with hearts from ballet slipper cardstock  and splattered some gold paint over it. The back I die cut from some mermaid cardstock . I stamped the sentiment also on the mermaid cardstock and diecut a banner from the everyday sentiment banner . Next I adhered everything together with foam squares for some extra dimension. I thought something was missing so decided to die cut some tiny hearts from chili pepper cardstock and add some pink  sequins . I hope you
Hello everyone! It's me again, Peter, and I'm back with more inspiration for you all. I took inspiration from the new mood board  and came up with this colorful card. I have nothing against bright colors on cards, but normally it's not my style of card making. So I especially enjoyed working on this card because it was something different for me! I love frame cards, to make mini scenes that form a bigger scene all together. Where in an earlier blog post I used the Lawn Fawn  Foursquare Backdrop: Landscape die , I now used the Foursquare Backdrop: Portrait die . I love how you get a piece on the bottom for a sentiment! With the Cloudy Stencil from Lawn Fawn and Distress Oxide in the colors Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry I blended a sky on some watercolor paper. Then I used the Foursquare Backdrop die, to cut out the frame (remember you can use the cut out squares on another card!). I stamped out a bunch of images from Oh Gnome! and Gleeful Garden . I colored them us

Happy campers!

Hello crafty friends! It's Veronica here and today I'm sharing with you a happy camping scene! I first stamped all my critters from the Camping Critters Stamp Set by Avery Elle on a piece of Neenah paper. I masked some of my images to ink blending the sky with my Distress Ink in Blueprint Sketch , Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot and then I colored everything with my Copic Ciao Marker . To finish off my card I chose a red frame and a white basis. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and it is embossed with white embossing powder on a red card stock. Hope you like my card and see you next week! From Italy with love, Veronica

Flying High To Say Hello with Leontine

Hello! Today I'm on the blog sharing a card with the super adorable Hello Bluebird set Flying High . I only needed a couple sets to create this card: Flying High and Summer Woods Scene . I stamped all of the images with Jet Black Ink on some Copic friendly paper and colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers: C00, C0, C1, W00, YR00, YR01, YR02, RV21, RV23, RV25, R20, R22, R30, BG10, BG11, BG23, E31, E34, E35, E37, E21, E23, E25, E27. To the eyes I added Black Glaze Pen to make them pop a little more. And you can never go wrong with a little sparkle, so I added Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss pen to a few images. For the background I used Salvaged Patina , Kitsch Flamingo and Dried Marigold distress oxide inks. I sprinkled some water mixed with liquid stardust on top and used a paper towel to pick up the remaining water. Once that panel was dry I used my anti-static powder to prep the surface and I stamped the sentiment with clear ink . I added white embossing powder to

Happy Summer!

Hi Friends!  I'm back with another mood board inspired card.  The card was inspired by the image of the palm trees to the far right and the sentiment was inspired by the coral lettering (see image below).   To create this card, I first die cut the background using the tropical backdrop die .  Then, I masked and ink blended the image using Catherine pooler inks chiffon for the yellows, cummerbund for the blue and shea butter for the sand.  Distress oxide gathered twigs and distress ink blueprint sketch used for the palm trees.  I cut the leaves of the tress from bazzill cardstock in candy necklace and inked them up with blueprint sketch distress ink.  The background sky was ink blended using chiffon and cummerbund inks.   The images were stamped using versafine black ink and colored using zig clean color brush pens and karin markers.  The following sets were used: On the Beach - fox on raft, beach ball, sunglasses Ocean Shell-Fie - rocks on the beach Butterfly Kisses - fox ru

Time for a Luau!

Hi there! Samantha here, and today I'm sharing a fun card for the weekend using the most adorable Avery Elle stamps! I was also inspired by the June 2021 Mood Board ! Ok, fine, I forgot to use the beautiful royal blue, but the rest of the colors were the total jumping off point of my card! but it's all about inspiration, right? So, here's my card! I used the Luau Party stamp set from Avery Elle , those hula critters are just the sweetest! I happened to fussy cut out the images, but you could use the coordinating dies to die cut them out, and save you some time! I also used the Speech Bubbles stamp set to make the phrase stand out a little! All of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers ! For the background, I used Distress Oxides in Abandoned Coral , Dried Marigold and Tattered Rose for the sky. Then, I used the Clouds Stencil from Newton's Nook and the same colors, to create some subtle clouds and texture in the background. I used Distress
