You're my Love Bug - By Lorena

 Hello everyone!

Today I am back on the blog, to show you a card that I have prepared using the colors of the Moodboard that they propose for May!

All the products I have used are available in the store Butterfly Reflections Ink!

This month we propose in the Moodboard some vibrant colors, which I do not usually use in my cards, I love pastel tones!
But... I have loved to get out of my comfort zone, and use these cheerful and vibrant colors!!
For the base of the card I used the Three Hearts die of Avery elle, which I had not used yet! And to fill the bottom of the hearts I have used the distress oxide Spun Sugar ink.
Then I stained the whole card with distress oxide inks, mixed with water... (My God, I didn't like doing this, but now... I love it!😂😂😂)
To make this background, I have used the colors: Seedless PreservesPeacock Feathers and Twisted Citron.
The stamps I have used for this card are Love Bugs of Reverse Confetti, Can there be more adorable bugs in the world? 😍

To finish, I have added some black splashes with acrylic paint mixed with water, some stamp prints with Memento Black ink, and finally, some details with the Nuvo Crystal Drops, the colors used are: Caribbean Ocean and Dandelion Yellow.

Card ready!
I hope you liked it, and that it inspires you in your projects!
And I hope to be back soon, a big hug for everyone! Be happy 💖

Baby Tags featuring the We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool!

Happy Monday! This is Kim Hamilton and I am so very excited to be sharing my first post with you for Butterfly Reflections Ink! This is making my first day back to work after a two-week break a happy one! I am sharing baby gift tags today, one of my friends is expecting and not sure what she is having so I made one of each! I used my  We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool  for the first time and loved it! I cut my own  Tim Holtz watercolor paper  to the size of tag I wanted (2 3/4 x 4 1/4) and cut the edges with my trimmer.  I stamped my sentiments that are by  Lawn Fawn Hello Baby  with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder. For the girl tag I used a mix of Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral  Distress Inks  and for the boy tag I used Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron  Distress Inks .  I sprayed both tags with some water and dabbed it off. I then stamped my images by My Favorite Things  Snuggle Bunnies  for the girl and Magical Dragons for th

Painting backwards....

Hello, hello!  Norine here from The Velvet Lemon blog .  It's been a week for introductions hasn't it, but let me just say how delighted I am to have been invited to join such a talented group of paper crafters, and to contribute here at Butterfly Reflections Ink!   Today I'm sharing with you, some cards I made by working backwards.  What do I mean, you wonder?  Well, it's a technique I sometimes enjoy doing, where you "smoosh" your water based ink pads on a craft mat, mist the colors with water and then drag your water color paper through it to create a pretty mess of color.     For today's cards, I wanted a blend of blues and greens (always a crowd pleaser) and yellows/pinks.  You will always be happier with the results when you keep the green/blues from overlapping with the yellow/pinks, because that just produces an unappealing mud color.   I used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Inks for this project, but any water based inks w

Penny Black All Lit Up + MFT Delightful Deer

Hi everyone, Amanda here today with a project I created using my favorite theme, nature and deer combined!  Add in a little  distress inking and WOW!   So I started with an A2 sized panel. I cut a hill using Newton's Nook Designs Land Borders  to create a mask for the bottom. I distress inked from center of my panel, working outward using a combination of yellows, greens and blues. I inked all the way down to the hill, then removed it to leave the white of the card appearing to be a snow hill. Now I take this GORGEOUS stamp, All Lit Up by Penny Black  and stamp it using VersaFine Black Onyx ink.  Using my MISTI, I was able to stamp it twice to get a nice dark impression. I then cut white acrylic paint 50/50 and tapped it on my night sky using a small paint brush. You'll notice on the image, there are little circles where you'd color in your lights or ornaments. I chose to use Nuvo Drops in gold and silver.  While all that was drying, I cut out a deer from
